If each fabric has its own story, what could hundreds of scraps of fabric intertwined to create a completely new material say?
The story of The House of Lyria’s new capsule collection begins just like that, with the words sustainability and craftsmanship. 81 limited edition throw pillows sewn entirely by hand, born from the union of traditional techniques and innovative creativity.
Both the covers and the inside of the pillows are made with recycled materials, crafted with an artisanal technique preserved by a local cooperative in Tunisia. After cutting the fabric into very thin ribbons, they skillfully knot them together to form a thread, which is then woven by hand with artisanal spools: thus a completely new material is born.
Fascinated by the manual skills, the tradition and the know-how of local artisans, we have chosen to rely on them for the creation of our capsule collection, committing ourselves to support their work and preserve their craftsmanship in full respect of human rights and social and ethical principles
