The House of Lyria collection is inspired by journeys. There are echoes of travels to near-mythical places—Samarkand, the Pillars of Hercules—and then there is the metaphorical journey that we embark upon in life: to seek knowledge and happiness and to realize our dreams. The latter is exquisitely expressed in the poem “Ithaca,” by Greek poet Konstantinos P. Kavafis, who invites us to explore without limit in his opening line:
When you leave for Ithaca / may your journey be long / and full of adventures and knowledge.
We have pushed the boundaries of our dreams in creating this collection, which we hope will help to fulfill some of your own desires. Welcome to The House of Lyria.
